The Aztec Resource Center and Food Pantry is a PCC Foundation supported program that provides non-academic support to PCC students by addressing campus food insecurity issues. ARC volunteers and staff/faculty members believe that by addressing student needs outside of the classroom, Pima will increase student success and retention rates and enhance the PCC student community.
Campus food insecurity is a national problem:
- 56% of community college students are food insecure, and
- 52% of community college students are housing insecure
The ARC program is serving over 250 students each month at the West Campus and Desert Vista Campus locations. Over 1200 pounds of food (with a value of $2,000) and at least 150 hygiene and household items (valued at over $750) are given to students every month.
Donations to the ARC Program provide direct support to PCC students through the efforts of student volunteers and staff/faculty.
Donations to the Pima Community College Foundation may be tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
